Filming on iPad: If Apple can do it…

Filming on iPad has become a good alternative to filming on a smartphone. There are a few reasons why filming on iPad is actually not such a bad idea. Of course it’s no competition for video production services executed with broadcast quality equipment. This is a workflow you would develop for “user generated content”. Let’s say you’re a School Marketing Director and you want your students to bring you usable footage of this awesome school trip to Edinburgh.

Filming on iPad then becomes a very clever way to gather content and to engage your students.

Check this out: Apple has released a TV commercial which is centered around film making. The commercial features students from the LA County High School for the Arts, using iPad Air 2’s to shoot various projects. Interestingly, the entire ad itself was shot on the iPad Air 2.

So what apps do I use to start filming on iPad?

Apple also released a special section in the App Store highlighting the various apps to create a movie on your iPad. It includes filming apps, but also productivity apps for script writing, mindmaps and various sound apps. It’s an amazing asset to start making your own videos on an iPad.

Besides filming on iPad, we can also train your team to make footage on an iPhone and to set up a workflow that keeps everything under control. Making footage is one thing, but finding it when you need it, knowing how to edit it into usable YouTube videos, is a whole different game. Our training packages can be fully customised.

MultiMediaMakers is a premium video agency run by experienced TV journalists and producers.
